וַיַּ֨פְשִׁיטֻ֔הוּ וַיִּשְׂא֥וּ אֶת־רֹאשׁ֖וֹ וְאֶת־כֵּלָ֑יו וַיְשַׁלְּח֨וּ בְאֶֽרֶץ־פְלִשְׁתִּ֜ים סָבִ֗יב לְבַשֵּׂ֛ר אֶת־עֲצַבֵּיהֶ֖ם וְאֶת־הָעָֽם׃
Und sie zogen ihn aus und nahmen sein Haupt und seine Rüstung und sandten sie in das Land der Philister, um die Botschaft zu ihren Götzen und zum Volk zu tragen.

They cut off his head and stripped off his armor, and sent [them] in the land of the Philistines—throughout—to bring the news to the temples of their idols and to the people.
